Get to Know Us
Our goal is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to spend more time with dogs. We have drafted 3 programs to facilitate this, ranging from a program creating social opportunities to providing formal animal handling training with the goal of developing employment opportunities in the animal care sector. Participants can develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy the companionship of these wonderful animals and other animal-loving humans.
Our Mission
To create inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities by providing access to dog-related activities and training. We aim to break down barriers in the animal care sector and foster a sense of community, well-being, and economic empowerment.
Why Dogs?
Research has shown that time spent with dogs leads to numerous benefits including:
- Physical Health: Improved fitness and lower stress levels.
- Academic Performance: Enhanced focus and learning outcomes.
- Mental Health: Reduced anxiety and depression.
- Social Connectivity: Increased interaction and sense of belonging.
